A United Kingdom court has adjourned the plea and trial preparation hearing involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, to February 2027.
The case came up on Tuesday, September 15, at Snaresbrook Crown Court, but the proceedings could not go ahead because the charge sheet was unavailable. As a result, Poco Lee did not enter a plea.
The court has now fixed February 8, 2027, for the next plea and trial preparation hearing, when Poco Lee is expected to indicate whether he will plead guilty or not guilty to the charges.
His trial has also been scheduled to begin on March 8, 2027.
The development follows the entertainer’s earlier appearance before the court, after which he was granted bail on September 11. He remains on bail as the case continues.
Poco Lee is facing five sexual offence charges in the UK — one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. The allegations have not been determined by the court, and he has not been convicted of any offence.
Some Nigerians reportedly attended Tuesday’s proceedings in support of the entertainer, with the court gallery said to have reached capacity while others waited outside.
Poco Lee, a graduate of Lagos State University, rose to prominence around 2018 after videos of his legwork dance performances gained widespread attention.
