Social media activist VeryDarkMan has challenged youths in Benue State to channel the same energy they used to prevent Peter Obi’s convoy from entering the state towards confronting bandits and terrorists attacking communities.
VeryDarkMan made the remarks in a video shared on X on Friday, accusing the youths of misdirecting their energy and allowing themselves to be used as political tools.
He said the incident had shown that Benue youths could mobilise in large numbers when they wanted to stop someone from entering the state.
“At least now we know that Benue State youths can mobilise themselves and chase someone out. So tomorrow, when bandits or terrorists attack, they can use the same energy to chase them,” he said.
VeryDarkMan said he was disappointed that some youths in the state, despite the security challenges they had faced over the years, could still be mobilised for political purposes.
“I was really disappointed in Benue State youths. Not all of them, but the crowd came out to prevent Peter Obi from entering the state.
“After what they have gone through, they will still allow themselves to be used as political tools and instruments. It’s so sad,” he added.
